At 9:32 a.m. on July 16, 1969, a massive Saturn V launch vehicle was launched from Cape Canaveral to send man on his most important journey in history. It consists of three main parts, with a height of 110 meters and a weight of 3000 tons. At the same time, she could carry an additional 50 tons of cargo and could reach a speed of 11.2 km/s. So the trip from 394,000 km to the moon took only 72 hours. After reaching low Earth orbit, the rocket′s third stage pushed the upper section with the Apollo cabin to reach the flight speed necessary to reach the Moon. Later, the Apollo spacecraft separated from the rocket, turned around, and removed the lunar module from its protective envelope. Thus the linked unit arrived at the Moon and entered its orbit. After several orbits, the lunar module with astronauts N. Armstrong and E. Aldrin on board separated from the command cabin, in which only M. Collins remained.
